The Surgbook timeline reflects its evolution as a platform created to transform access to knowledge and best practices in surgery.

Founded in 2016 by Eduardo Viana (MD, TCBC, FACS, IHPBA Member), Marcelo Enne (MD, MSc, TCBC, FACS, IHPBA Member), Fabio Neves (MD, TCBC Member), and Bruno Rangel (MD, FACS, TCBC Member), Surgbook was built with a clear purpose: to provide a trusted, high‑quality repository of surgical videos, making advanced surgical knowledge more accessible to medical professionals and students alike.

In 2022, the brand and its assets were acquired by YDUQS | IDOMED, strengthening its role within Brazil’s medical education ecosystem and allowing for greater investment in technology, content, and user experience.

Now, in 2025, Surgbook is being relaunched with a new platform and enhanced features, reaffirming its mission to support continuous learning and to contribute to safer, more effective surgical practice — serving doctors, residents, and students across Brazil and beyond.
